The Earthquake and Tsunami of February
27, 2010 destroyed this hotel. The small, resort village of Dichato, (pop.
3057), located 40 km north of the city of Concepción in Chile has
been about 80% destroyed, according to Chilean newspaper La Tercera. The
town has been leveled by flooding that occurred in the tsunami aftermath
of Saturday morning’s magnitude 8.8 earthquake in that country. Travel
to Dichato is discouraged at this time.
This Resort has a Great Ocean View, a reputation for personal attention,
and a restaurant renowned for excellent sea food, all the amenities.....a
great hotel to enjoy the sand and surf of Chile
Located on one of the most secluded bay resorts and only 40 km from
Concepcion, its location provides for great water sports of
all kinds. The Horseshoe shape of its bay protects the
waters from the south winds making it ideal for wind surfing,
snorkeling, swimming or just about any aquatic sport.
For a business meeting, or just to enjoy the Ocean, Manantial is the
Choice.
