Linares Chile was founded
in 1794 it is now Chile's center of the sugar beet industry. It is a small
hard working agricultural town in the center of Chile. The birth place
of Soledad Zuniga, it has a certain earthy charm. It is located on Ruta
5 Sur (Panamerican Highway) between the Andes Mountains and the Chilean
coast in a valley. The nearby thermal springs and resorts are a great place
for the weary travler to relax and enjoy the beauty of the region. It is
noted for friendly hard working people.
